LOWELL W. W. BROWN, 61, DIES AT SARANAC LAKE HOME
Following an illness of two years, Lowell W. W. Brown, 61, one of the few remaining old guides of the Adirondacks, died at the home of his son-in-law, Fletcher Mace, in Saranac Lake. He had been in failing health since stricken, with paralysis in 1920 and for some time his death had been expected. Funeral services were held in the Episcopal church last week Thursday, Rev. E. P. Miller, rector, officiating. Mr. Brown was born in Saranac Lake, January 24, 1861, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Brown, and he spent his entire life there. From has early youth until his health failed several years ago he was one of the most prominent guides in this part of the Adirondacks. Mr. Brown married Ella Faysette of Norman Ridge, who died three years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mace, and two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Brown Potter and Mrs. George C. Garwood of Saranac Lake
